Amport House

It was a clear, sunny day in July
Without a cloud in the sky
When I came here
A piece of calm
sanctuary from harm
In this place
I had a vision of what a true hero is
Viz:

Someone who doesn’t have to fight
But has the might
Of God behind him
Especially when times get grim
Someone who is with you every minute
Who sees your limits
And doesn’t judge you
Someone who would lay down his life for you
A person who sees the truth in your eyes

Yes, today I found out was being a true hero means
Being a forces chaplain, is elementary or so it seems
Every man is your brother, every woman your sister too
Making the family of Christ which includes you and me
